Solar eclipse in San Diego May 20th 2012
Nothing too spectacular, I did a time lapse photo of it and got almost 2,000 images.
I put my welders mask in front of my camera lens and set it 300mm zoom. I then put all 2,000 images into a movie and speed it up 10,000% for a total of about 20 seconds (not much attention span after that). You can see the parts where it seems to "skip", that is when I had to reposition my camera since I do not have a motorized head to follow the sun's path across the horizon. At the end you can see where the sun finally sets behind telephone poles and the trees in my neighborhood.
