Anza Borrego Desert State ParkCarrizo Gorge

  • Some beautiful Agave Yucca Blooms were seen along the way
  • Fresh deer scat. We saw a lot of this and I have seen deer out here before but not on this trip
  • Looking down and south into carrizo gorge you can see an old train resting on the tracks. I visted this train on a different hike that came down the gorge to the right of the train in this picture
  • Scotty "C" leading the way down the massive 3,000 ft spine of the mountain that would take us into Carrizo Gorge
  • A cute desert beetle on a Barrel cactus bloom

  • Looking north from down in Carrizo Gorge. This about 2 miles south of Goat Canyon where the train trestle is

  • Scotty "C" trying to explain the physics about something..I don't think I was really listening to him, I was more concentrated on looking back up the mountain that we had to ascend to get back to the truck
  • Playing "Hide 'n Seek" in the Cholla forest. This was the "road" from the train tracks going down to the old train camp in the gorge. It actually really sucked, it was the most hazardest part of the trip with cholla balls getting stuck on our shoes, pants and legs with almost every step
